SHARING AND ACCESS

One collection. The right audience.

Finish your draft, choose your audience and publish deliberately. One reader link carries the videos and the context you wrote for them.

Share the version you are ready to stand behind.Choose Private, Unlisted or Public. Your next edit stays a draft until you publish it.

01 / CHOOSE THE AUDIENCE

Private, Unlisted or Public.

Private is the starting point. Only you can open the collection in your account; there is no shared reader address.

Unlisted is for sharing a secret link. Anyone who has it can read the collection and forward the link. It does not appear on your public profile. Treat the link as access, not as a guarantee that only its first recipient will read it.

Public is for a collection you want anyone to find. It has a curator address such as /@alex/learn-to-draw and appears on your Public profile. Search engines may discover it when public publication and indexing are enabled in production.

02 / REVIEW AND PUBLISH

Choose what a reader will see.

  1. Open a collection in My collections, save your draft and use Preview.
  2. Open Share. Choose Anyone with the link for Unlisted or Public.
  3. Enter the curator name you want readers to see. For Public, first set up Public profile with your handle, display name and optional bio, then review the collection address.
  4. Use the publish action, then copy the resulting reader link.

Your account email is not your public byline. The curator name, profile fields and collection context you explicitly provide are public when published. Personal bookmark Notes are never automatically published.

Public publication requires a title of at least 5 characters, a description of at least 40 characters, at least one video and at least 80 characters of original notes, introductions or text. Up to 25 collections can be Public. Production publication also requires verified email and enabled publication; the form shows what is needed.

03 / KEEP THE PUBLISHED VERSION CLEAR

Save a draft. Publish the changes.

A reader sees a published snapshot. Editing and saving leave that version in place. When the next version is ready, choose Publish public changes or the Unlisted publish action.

Choose Make private to close shared access. Deleting also closes published addresses; restoring a collection makes it Private. A saved copy of a link cannot bypass that access change.

Rotating an Unlisted link closes the old link. Switching between Public and Unlisted closes the previous kind of address; give readers the new one. Changing a Public address redirects its old address while the collection remains Public.

To change the published byline, edit the curator name in Share and publish again. Updating your profile name alone does not rewrite the collection’s published curator name. Learn how saved collections respond to access changes.

GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

Does Unlisted mean nobody can forward the link?

No. Anyone who has the secret link can read it and forward it. Rotate the link or make the collection Private to close that access.

Will saving changes immediately update the reader?

No. Publish the saved changes explicitly to replace the published snapshot.

Does noindex protect a private collection?

Access controls protect Private and Unlisted access. Search indexing settings are a separate concern; a secret link can still be forwarded.

Can I unpublish a collection?

Yes. Make private closes shared access. Copies or screenshots that readers already made cannot be recalled.
